💡 Transparency & Quality: Our PDF Invoice → PDF ZUGFeRD service is ideal for smaller teams with a manual invoicing process and complements existing tools — it does not replace an ERP system. Because AI extraction may vary in individual cases, a professional review of every e-invoice (content & schema) is best practice. Responsibility rests with the invoice issuer.

Automation: Technically possible (e.g., via FastAPI/CLI), but only with mandatory validation chains: XSD/EN 16931 schema validation and content plausibility checks against your data (totals, tax rates, buyer/seller IDs, routing ID/Leitweg-ID, IBAN/BIC, order/reference numbers). Without these controls, we advise against fully automatic dispatch. The AI service can make mistakes; no liability is assumed for the generated ZUGFeRD XML.

ℹ️ Technical notes:

  • Access is granted via API token (delivered by email after purchase).
  • The PDF to ZUGFeRD system is accessed directly via 7-PDF Attach Extract and Remove (from version 2.0).
  • The PDF-ZUGFeRD system is alternatively accessible via the Online Portal konverter.zugferd-rechnungen.de using an API token, also from tablets, smartphones, MacOS or Linux.
  • Subscribers of the Pro, Team, and Enterprise(+) plans can also use the CURL/FastAPI integration.
  • Free invoice runs are valid for the current calendar month and expire at the end of the month.
  • 🕒 No disadvantage when purchasing a subscription later in the month:

    • Even if you purchase your subscription on, for example, the 20th of the month, you will immediately receive the full quota of free invoice runs included in your plan. These are valid until the end of the month.

    Your subscription will then renew monthly. If you cancel, your access remains active until the same day of the following month — for example, until the 20th of the next month. So you don’t lose anything.

  • If you exceptionally need more free runs in one month, contact us in advance and include your current API token. We’ll send you a custom offer!

📅 Automatic Monthly Reset

Don’t worry: The counter doesn’t reset automatically on the 1st of the month, but only when you run your first invoice process in the new month.

Example: On May 31st you still have 12 runs left. The reset to “Used (this month): 0” happens only when you process your first invoice in June – and that’s when your new month officially starts.

Advantage: No end-of-month stress – everything happens automatically at the right moment.
